He wself taught himself Greek and Latin in middle school, and now he knows seven languages fluently, and thats his own number. He only referred to sudents by last name, and I still dont know the first names of some of my good friends from that class. He was from Kentucky originally, but spoke in a way I can only describe as posh. He was (and still is) a 6'1" 350 pound man who was always impeccably dressed and well spoken. He was one of the first people that I genuinely, completely respected. ![]() I'd really never seen anyone with that sort of pride in their work that would rather I simply fail than make a mockery of his class. He would not half-ass his job in instructing me and he would not accept such half-ass bullshit from me, either. He loved his job and held his position in our lives in high esteem.
